I just thought I'd share some examples of my recent newborn photos using the designs from Tiny Prints, the online greeting card company that I recommend to my clients. The designs range from modern (see Mason) to sweet and traditional (see Olivia). They are having a sale, so check out the banner below if you want to see more!

"PAWS for the CAUSE" Pet Portrait Fundraiser! Saturday February 26th
Listen up, animal lovers! Here is your chance to get professional photos of your pet while donating to a great cause. This portrait fundraiser will be held at WonderDogs training in West Berlin, NJ THIS SATURDAY February 26th from 4pm to 9pm. Portraits will be held on location inside, with a full studio set-up. You can even get in the photos with your pet. If you want to do that, I suggest a dark grey, black or blue patternless shirt and simple bottoms such as jeans.
The sitting is a mere $25 for a twenty minute session. In return, you will get a coupon code worth $25 to purchase prints online. Print prices start at $15.
100% of the sitting fee will go to Seer Farms, in Jackson NJ. Seer Farms Inc. is a New Jersey-based non-profit that is being established for the inter-related purposes of intervening when families are in crisis and need a bridge strategy of support for their pets and to enable multi-species animal rescue and placement. It's a unique, wonderful sanctuary that deserves support.
So if your pooch is ready to lend a paw to a great cause, you can make an appointment by calling 856-767-6464 or email wonderdogs @wonderdogs.com
Thanks for your support!

60 Second Interview with a Makeup Artist~Photography and Makeup
When I talk to clients, there are two questions that always come up: 1. What do I wear for photos and 2. How should I do my makeup? Here is a quick interview with local makeup artist Catrina (pictured) with some helpful tips!
1. How long have you been a makeup artist? I have been doing makeup for about 7 years.
2. I shoot new moms who have had very little sleep. What's a quick makeup trick to look rested and refreshed, without looking overly made-up for these intimate mother-child portraits? A little brightening serum, some under eye concealer and extra coat of mascara will brighten the eye area instantly !
3. I've shot a few weddings in the past year and I've noticed that the makeup trend with brides is to go much more natural than in the past. Brides looks less done up and more like themselves, only better. As a photographer, I love this. What do you think? I also love this. On your wedding day you want to look like yourself, not someone else!
4. Some brides elect to do their own makeup on their wedding day. Why should they go with a pro? Doing your own makeup on your wedding day is stressful, which is why I recommend a professional makeup artist. Get a trial beforehand so you know you are going to love your look on your special day.
5. In general, what are your makeup tips for a woman who will be photographed in natural light? When possible, I love shooting in natural light, but sometimes shine is a problem. I love natural light for photos! Use a setting powder on your makeup and everything should look great.
6. In general, what is one makeup mishap you see a lot of women making? Not properly blending. Using the right brushes helps.
7. What is one makeup product that every woman should own? Mac Strobe Cream. It instantly enhances your complexion, making it dewy and moisturized.
8. What is your makeup advice for women over the age of 35 as far as looking good in photographs? Less is more! Lip color is important. A professional will help you find a nice lip color that will pop in photos!
9. Which celebrity would you like to give a makeover to? Hmmm. Maybe Lady Gaga. LOVE her.
10. What is the best way for a woman to find a good makeup artist for her wedding or portrait sitting. Always get a recommendation from someone that has used that artist. Ask to see a portfolio, and always get a trial.
Thanks Catrina! All very helpful tips!
Catrina can be reached at CTRW7@AOL.COM or phone 609-770-1000 or she can be hired as part of your photo shoot when you book with Annmarie Young Photography. Email Annmarieyoung@msn.com for details!

South Jersey Newborn Photography~Baby Mason!
Introducing Mason! This little guy has lungs that would make even Steven Tyler jealous! He was a great sport during his photo session though. During this shoot, I also had the pleasure to meet his very personable big brother, who was already an expert at holding his little brother! The only jealousy in the house seemed to be exhibited by Ivy the cat, who stalked my every move. I think she knew that I'm allergic to cats and was just messing with me. Needless to say, she stumbled into a few shots. :)
