Twin Brothers~Red Bank Battlefield, NJ Portrait Session

These two cuties were my tour guides at the Red Bank Battlefield in Gloucester Twp. If you've never been there, it's really pretty and an excellent place for photos! I'd love to see it again in the spring, when the trees are blooming and the weather is warm. We got lucky late in the season. The weather wasn't too cold, and it was a bright sunny day. The boys showed me around and gave me impromptu history lessons such as, "The guy who lived in that house was so mad about being taxed that he started a WAR!" Pint-sized historians, they were! Here are a few photos from their session:

The Quarterback and The Cutie. ~New Jersey Children's Portrait Photography

Okay, so I know nothing about football, but I know a good throwing arm when I see it. I have to say that this future Heisman Trophy winner sure knows how to fire the football! You should have seen him handle that football! Both he and his big sister were absolutely adorable, and so much fun to shoot. Have you ever seen anyone rock a headband like this little cutie? I love the color pop it creates in the photos against the black shirt. Bravo to her stylist (a.k.a mom).

Mystic Connecticut Historic Seaport~ A Photo Essay

A couple of weeks ago I had the pleasure of visiting beautiful Mystic Connecticut. What brought me there? I won't lie, the first time I went it was because because I was trying to go to Albany, NY and somehow REALLY missed my turn and ended up in Connecticut. And yes, I know, that is really missing your turn. Once in Connecticut, I realized that I just could not pass up visiting the town that Julia Roberts made famous in the cheesy 80's movie Mystic Pizza. The rest is history. I adore Mystic Connecticut. The seaport museum is amazing because you can walk into all of the restored buildings and really feel what the inhabitants of the port lived.  This was my second time visiting the historic seaport, and here are some photos from my time there.  :)

Beauty and The Barn.

What do you get when you take a handful of horses, a beautiful farm, a dash of rescued kitties, a nutty chihuahua, and the amazing woman who makes it her life's work to give animals in need a second chance? You get an amazing opportunity for photography. I enjoyed every moment of my time on this tiny farm full of love. :)

Two Princes

Okay, so Mother Nature sure didn't cooperate with the scheduling of this photo session, that's for sure. I think we had to reschedule at least four times because of rain. Luckily, the skies finally cleared up and gave us a lovely day to shoot.
These adorable brothers win the award for longest, dreamiest eyelashes: and the big brother in the photos is certainly in the running for most accommodating subject! Not only did he do everything I asked him to do, he even directed me towards the best light in the back yard! I may have to hire him.

Beautiful Boys ~ Children's Portrait Photographer South Jersey

These handsome chaps are very special to me because they were one of the first families that welcomed me into their home when I first started my business. This was my second time photographing them. As usual, we had a great time. We shot late in the day, so we had to race against time to shoot, but even so we still had a lot of fun laughing, laying in the grass, telling ghost stories, singing songs (well, mom sang-- I didn't want to scare the kids with my terrible singing voice!) etc. Here are a few of my favorite edits so far:

Twin Portrait Photography~Sleeping Beauty & The Bear

You know, it's really hard to edit photos when you are laughing. Ladies and gentlemen...meet the two sweethearts that I had the pleasure of photographing this past Saturday. What faces! What fashionable headgear! What a fabulous way to spend a Saturday. I had such a good time with this brother and sister twin combo. Their parents were so laid back and funny that I actually felt like family at their house. These are just three of my favorites so far.  I can't wait to edit the rest! Here are some sneak peeks!

Tiny Newborn Visitor

Last week I tried out a home studio setup for the first time. Beautiful Baby L and her parents answered my call for models and were gracious enough to travel quite a distance to come visit me. My studio still needs quite a bit of tweaking, but overall I think we got some nice shots. Little Ms. L in no uncertain terms told me that she did NOT like the Japanese Lullaby CD I had ready for her, and she rated my beanbag only "so-so" in terms of chill-out worthy.  Luckily, she was happiest in her daddy's arms or cuddling with her mom which made for beautiful photos. :)

Longwood Gardens Photo Shoot

My fiance and I took a little trip to Longwood Gardens over the weekend. I had never been there before. How beautiful! I'm not an overzealous flower fan, but I really enjoyed myself. Here are some photos I took:
