Check it out! My fave card company, Tiny Prints, has you covered this year for Mothers’ Day with their Mother’s Day Cards. Their cards are beautifully designed and you can create individual personalized cards with photos starting at just $1.99. You can buy only a few or buy a ton. A lot of people don't realize that you can just make what you need at this cool company.

The cool thing about their  Cards is that they mail the cards directly to you or your recipients.

Meet Rocky! I just love this photo I took of this charming boy earlier this year. His little face is so funny. For fun, I entered him in a Rangefinder Magazine Contest called "Best Friends". There are two categories of the contest: One is judged by pro photographers and ends in May; and the other is a weekly popularity contest called "The People's Choice". "The Village Scholar"~ Spring Portrait Session with Michele Lise Tarter

I had the pleasure of working with Professor Michele Tarter of The College of New Jersey last week on one of the most beautiful days of the year so far. We met at historic Batsto Village in South Jersey, which was the perfect location to shoot because early American literature and culture is a passion of hers. How lucky to have the perfect location so close by, with wonderful weather to boot!

Michele is the Coordinator of Graduate Studies & Associate Professor at The College of New Jersey. According to her website: "She teaches courses on Early American Literature, The Witch in Literature, Literature of the Prison, and Women's Autobiographies, Diaries, and Letters. She has established a volunteer program in New Jersey's only maximum-security prison for women, working with TCNJ students in co-teaching an inmates' memoir-writing class each semester." Professor Tarter asked me to photograph her for a book she has due out soon. I jumped at the chance to photograph such an interesting (and photogenic!) woman.

The Charmer.

This little guy was such a pleasure to work with! How about those beautiful eyes? We had a very quick shoot by my normal standards, but this 8 month old charmer hit all of his marks with complete professionalism. Like a pro, he threw me a smile here; a smile there; danced to a little music and shot me some adorable glances while I snapped away. He even had time for a quick snack and rest before moving on to a mini-session that included mom. He was simply adorable.
